YOUR SPF CHECKLIST

When choosing the correct sun protection, it’s crucial to know your individual skin type and how long it can tolerate the sun before burning.

Adjust your SPF protection according to your location and environment.

Acclimatise your skin to build your tolerance gradually. If your skin has been covered all year, apply a higher SPF for the first few days.

Further application may be required after extensive sweating, swimming, towel drying or in extreme temperatures.

It is important that you take regular shade breaks and that you avoid the midday sun when the UV rays are at their strongest.

Wear loose fitting clothing that covers your skin, a wide brimmed hat and UV protection sunglasses.

Changed for the worst!

I used to love this sunscreen- it’s the only one I’ve ever found that didn’t make me break out or have a reaction, but when I recently bought a new bottle I could instantly tell they’ve changed the formulation for the worst. It burned immediately and I came up in a rash over my face. I got in touch via email and they confirmed that they have changed their formulation. The reformulated bottle is anything with a batch code on the bottom from 48L to 49 onwards apparently. Devastated, will not be buying again

reformulated and not for the better

I’ve recently re/bought my ultra sun spf 50+ and I noticed that the texture had completely changed! It was suddenly a thick cream and suddenly the white cast had gone?! I also noticed that my eyes now sting!? I have seen that they’ve completely changed the titanium dioxide nano from one of the main ingredients to now being completely near the bottom and they’ve added hydrogenated castor oil💔💔. I am completely shocked and devastated by this who puts oil in a suncream? I think everyone knows thats just a recipe for frying your skin. Not only have they reduced the inorganic components of the inci list but they’ve added an ingredient which is extremely comedogenic so the claim it being non comedogenic is now more invalid than it was before. I'm so gutted that they've changed this it’s already an expensive spf so the fact now my eyes are stinging I will never buy this agin.

Great product

I've been a loyal Ultrasun user for years and can't recommend it highly enough. Recently, I tried the mist spray in 30°C heat and was thrilled—no stickiness and just a light, comfortable layer. Both my wife and I have fair skin, and we've had no issues with burning or irritation. I wholeheartedly recommend any of their products.

It's a different product!

I have been using this for about 7 years now. Although I have a light brown / olive complexion naturally, I get prickly heat if I don't use sun protection. I purchased a replacement tube 2 weeks ago after running out. I noticed firstly, that the consistency appeared to be a bit different. When I put it on my face, it felt very watery / kind of greasy. It doesn't got on the same as it did previously and the coverage was poor. It didn't even appear to absorb well. When checking the ingredients, I noticed that castor oil has now been added to the product! (Which was never there before) and the titanium dioxide (nano) which is essentially the mineral barrier, had dropped from a top 3/4 position in the ingredient list, down towards almost the bottom! I bought a second bottle yesterday as I thought maybe there was something wrong with the batch that my original purchase was in. However, it too was exactly the same, resulting in me being out of pocket by £50! So not a sun block / sunscreen at all. FYI, I would never put oil on my face and go out into the sun! Why on earth would you change the formulation and make it an inferior product, when it has worked so well for years? I definitely won't be using this any longer and will find an alternative . Very disappointed.
